You may be shocked to learn that Jacksons Lane Shotokan Karate Club is a non-profit making concern! That’s right, nobody is in it for the money.
Sensei Steve Palmer (5th Dan) and Sensei John Robins (4th Dan) have over 50 years karate experience between them. They have operated the club at Jacksons Lane for over 14 years. The lesson fees go to insuring the instructors, paying the rent and covering incidental running costs. None of the income is taken as salary, so why do Steve and John do it?
The answer is extremely simple: Sensei Palmer and Sensei Robins -and all the other Dan-grade instructors- share a deep enthusiasm for traditional Shotokan karate. They want to run a club focussed on excellence which maintains the traditional standards of this respected martial art.
Chasing profit compromises standards: this does not happen at Jacksons Lane. Here you get a superb bargain -top flight instruction at minimum cost, so do the wise thing and avoid expensive imitations!
